Reiki
Reiki is a wonderfully gentle, yet powerful, form of natural healing. Originating in Japan, and then rediscovered in the 20th century by Dr Mikao Usui, it is the art of natural energy healing.
During treatment, energy is channelled to activate the body's own ability to heal itself. This also promotes good health and a general state of wellbeing. Literally translated, Reiki means 'universal energy'.
It can restore total harmony and balance in the mind and body and can benefit a wide range of physical and emotional conditions. Reiki is suitable for everyone, from young babies to the elderly.
Today, Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from master to student. Whilst Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion.
