Reiki
Reiki is a wonderfully gentle, yet powerful, form of natural healing. Originating in Japan, and then rediscovered in the 20th century by Dr Mikao Usui, it is the art of natural energy healing.
During treatment, energy is channelled to activate the body's own ability to heal itself. This also promotes good health and a general state of wellbeing. Literally translated, Reiki means 'universal energy'.
It can restore total harmony and balance in the mind and body and can benefit a wide range of physical and emotional conditions. Reiki is suitable for everyone, from young babies to the elderly.
Today, Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who have trained in the tradition passed down from master to student. Whilst Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion.

Reiki Level 1 – Self Healing
A day of discovery with the Usui Method of Reiki Healing. You will learn about the history and principles of Reiki and be attuned to the First Level of Healing, the level of Self-Healing.
The day will include:
- Training manual for you to keep
- Introduction to Reiki as a healing process
- Level 1 Reiki Attunement and Certificate
- Practical methods of giving Reiki to yourself and to others
- Lunch will be provided (please advise any dietary requirements)
Reiki Level 2 – Practitioner
This level will enable you to work as a Reiki Practitioner and charge for your services. There will be a refresher on the history of Reiki and guidelines for safe practice.
The day will include:
- Training manual for you to keep
- History or Reiki and possible applications
- Level 2 Reiki Attunement and Certificate
- Practical guided sessions in giving reiki
- Lunch will be provided (please advise any dietary requirements)
Reiki Master Level 3 – Teacher
This is the level of the teacher. With this level of Reiki you will be given the tools to attune others. This level does not have any additional healing qualities and should only be undertaken by those wanting to teach.
The day will include:
- Training manual for you to keep
- How to instruct others in the history and possibilities of Reiki
- Level 3 Reiki Attunement and Certificate
- Practical group healing session
- Lunch will be provided (please advise any dietary requirements)
You do not need any prior experience or skills to be attuned to Reiki. If you would like to participate in a Level 2 or 3 attunement, you will need to provide proof you have attained the previous levels.
A Reiki Attunement Workshop is a special day for you to grow and can be very moving. For this reason numbers are very limited so that enough time is given to enable you to share and reflect upon the experience.
